Les Contamines-Montjoie: freeride adventures with a view of Mont Blanc

Les Contamines-Montjoie is situated at an altitude of 1,164 metres and boasts impressive scenic views of the highest mountain in the Alps: Mont Blanc (4,810 metres). With 120 kilometres of ski runs, the ski resort boasts a great variety of winter sports – from skiing and snowboarding to cross-country skiing as well as biathlon and skijoring.

The slopes of the ski area are located on both sides of Col de Joly (1,989 metres), Aiguille Croche (2,487 metres) and Véleray (2,450 metres).

By the way: Those who still lack a bit of confidence in their skiing ability can take advantage of the offers of the local ski schools. 80 ski instructors are happy to share their knowledge and help newcomers practise their first turns on skis.

Les Contamines-Montjoie ski resort comprises the municipality of the same name and Hauteluce ski resort. It’s easily accessible by shuttle bus from both villages, so you can leave your car parked at your accommodation.
